Rajim


Rajim is located on the banks of Mahanadi at a distance of 47 km from Raipur . Here is the confluence of the Parry, Soandhur and mahanadi river's, which is called Triveni Sangam. Every year hera is fair (Mela) on the occasion of Magh Purnima. Rajim is famous for its Lord Rajiv Lochan's very beautiful and ancient temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Apart from Lord Rajiv Lochan temple other temples at rajim are Kuleshwar Mahadev , Pancheshwar Mahadev temple , Bhuleshwar Mahadev temple , Vamana Varah temple , Rajim Talien temple , variola temples major are worth visiting.For Rajim there is a regular bus service from raipur, Rajim is also connected through railway line ( Raipur - Dhamtari small railway line) and Taxies are also available from Raipur and Abhnepur.

Bastar


Bastar's District Headquarters Jagdalpur, is loacated at a distance of 305 kilometers from state's capital Raipur.Bastar 's dense forests, beautiful waterfalls , ancient caves, high mountains and cool and pleasant environment charmed all. World-famous Bastar art and ancient tribal culture also attracts visitors. Imporatant tourist destinations here are Chitrakoot and Tiarthghdh Falls , Kutumsar Cave, Kanger Valley National Park, Indravati National Park etc.At the same time two wildlife sanctuaries are alos there Bhairmaghdh and Pamed , which is under the Dantewada district.The world-famous Maa Danteshwari Temple is also located at around 80 Km from Jagdalpur which is built by hte kings of bastar.Danteshwari is the Goddess of entire Bastar division, equally worshipped by Hindus as well as tribals.


Sirpur

Sirpur is located on the banks of Mahanadi. Sirpur was the capital of Dakshin Kousal in between fifth to eighth century. In ancient times Sirpur is known as Shripur which means city pf prosperity.In Sirpur the major scenic spots are - The Laxman Temple, Gandheshwar Temple, Swastik Vihar , Anand Kuti Vihar etc.Sirpur Laxman temple is built with unmatched bricks is the unique example of architecture. Sirpur is also known for its monastery worldwide. these are mainly `` Anand Prabhu Kuti Vihar `` and Swastik Vihar. Archaeological Survey of India built a museum in the courtyard of the Laxman temple in the Sirpur. In this museum there is a collection of sculpture of Shaiva , Vaishnava , Buddhist and Jain religions associated with their religious faith.

Dongargarh

Dongargadh is a place with the lush green covered forests hills, surrounded by small - large ponds and natural beauty. Dongargarh is situated in Rajnandgaon district. It is famous for its Maa Bamleshwari Temple worshipped as an incarnation of Shakti.There is two temple of Maa Bamleshwari one is on a hilltop of 1600 feet .This temple is referred as Badi Bambleshwari. and the second one is at the groundlevel, the Chotti Bambleshwari is situated about 1/2 km. from the main temple.These temples are revered by lakhs of people of Chattisgarh and The devotees flock these temples during Navratris of Kwanr (during Dashera) and Chaitra (during Ramnavmi).
